[...] Mr. Feuerstein also claims to have tried to contact Dr. Carter. This may be the biggest joke of all of his points. The FACT is, he never tried to get in touch with Dr. Carter via e-mail, phone, or any other means. He did however, get in touch with Dr. William Mitchell, who serves on HEB’s board. Dr. Mitchell is also a professor at Vanderbilt University and highly respected in the field of immunology. Apparently, Mr. Feuerstein had a hard time understanding the details of the conversation. This is no surprise because of his political science background. He is lacking any biological science background and therefore had trouble with the study results that were expressed to him. (see the StocksHaven Investments’ conference call with Dr. Carter). [...]

Comments to Adam Feuerstein CFS Article. I am saddened that people like Adam are in positions to write articles like this.

Why should people with MS an illness that does not kill people be allowed to get medicines that are toxic? Has our society really sunk to such a low moral value or no morals when it comes to people who are very ill? MS has come a long way because of medications, and it took them years to do clinical studies. Now they are taking about cures. Once MS was thought to be a mental illness. You have no business writing about things you know nothing about. Sure your company can let you make a fool of yourself and that is what you did.

Why not let them people with CFS suffer and die a long horrible death? This is what you are saying is it not? Why should we allow them to take a medication that maybe toxic? Do you take Tylenol? If you take Tylenol for four days as directed you may be at risk of liver damage. All medications have side effects, but to deny a better quality of life to people is to let them live and die an inhumane existence and death.

For that is what people with CFS are doing and there is a difference in CFS and MS in the death rate. MS does not effect your lifespan, but CFS can shorten your lifespan by 25 years.

Why not mention patients who have been on Ampligen that are now 60% to 100% better? That can live life and do things they could not do without Ampligen? We are talking about 1-4 million people suffering without any hope.

People with CFS are already dead. They disappear from live and live a lonely painful existence inside there homes. There are no doctors and no treatments. This must be one of the one of the cruelest illnesses of our times.

This is a quote from dr. Loveless an Aids doctor who testified before congress on CFS. Dr.Loveless, an infectious disease specialist who runs an AIDS and CFS clinic
stated that "a CFIDS patient feels every day significantly the same as an AIDS patient feels two months before death". This was in 1995, how long do we have to continue to suffer?

CDC ATLANTA - UPDATE:
---------------------

1) The Centers for Disease Control in Atlanta stated that ME/CFS may affect
up to 50 times the number previously estimated by them, according to Dr.
William Reeves, Chief of Viral Exanthems and Herpesvirus Branch at CDC. Drs.
Reeves, Komaroff and Loveless provided testimony at a May 12th, 1995
Congressional Briefing sponsored by Representatives John Porter (R-IL) and
Senator Harry Reid (D-NY). Dr. Reeves stated that 76-220 per 100,000
Americans have a CFS-like illness as opposed to earlier estimates which had
pinned the numbers at 4-9 cases per 100,000. CDC have recently added CFS to
the list of Priority-1 New and Reemerging Infectious Diseases. Other
illnesses listed as Priority-1 include E.coli and tuberculosis. Dr.
Loveless, an infectious disease specialist who runs an AIDS and CFS clinic
stated that "a CFIDS patient feels every day significantly the same as an
AIDS patient feels two months before death". His statement was supported by
data from his clinical research and by the experience of other CFS experts.

Thank you, Michael for setting this CC up. All of us Hebbers really
appreciate your ongoing efforts. I want to also thank Dr. Carter CEO
of Hemispherix for taking the time out of his busy schedule to make
this interview.

Go HEB!
